About

Tree_CVR UK.jpeg

The Cscape TREE project began in 2019 when the children's book TREE, illustrated by Britta Teckentrupp was used as a springboard to start developing the idea of creating a live theatre show for under 4's to explore the seasons.  Cut to 2023, the show has been fully imagined using dance, performance, story-telling and interactive activities to engage very young children, toddlers and babies,  and the experience has been developed to be gentle, intimate and inclusive to encourage play between grown ups and their children.

In the pandemic, Cscape explored making some of the ideas into an interactive video, which can be seen on this website.

Tree is published by Little Tiger Press.

Cscape

Cscape began in 2003 with a commitment to making work that was fun, blending imaginative physical theatre with energetic choreography. From beaches to mines, harbours to gardens, rural to midscale theatre venues, we are committed to ensuring our work translates across venue size and location.

To do this, we collaborate with likeminded dancers, actors, writers, film makers, designers and musicians. This results in stories that are punchy, absorbing and full of character; perfect for all ages.

Cscape has always loved working with, and creating work for, children and family audiences, and our Imaginarium project came about when many of our team had young families themselves and wanted  to develop more high opportunity for brilliant dance and theatre experiences for young children and their grown ups.

Cscape are a resident company at Hall for Cornwall.
